Project Description
Son Quint Golf
The third of the ‘Arabella’ courses, Son Quint was opened in 2007. Design was shared by Ramon Espinosa and Kurt Rossknecht, the latter was also responsible for the sister course of Son Muntaner. Located on the outskirts of Palma, these 3 courses provide a quality package for the discerning golfer. Situated in an elevated position with views over the city to the Mediterranean, the courses are very convenient for those wishing to stay in Palma city.
At 6199 metres in length, Son Quint is a par 72 course. All tee shots are interesting with open views of each hole. A highlight of the course is the arrow-straight par-5, 17th which provides a long haul to the green of this penultimate hole. Son Quint has a clever well balanced design, with enough rough to reward the straighter hitter and punish the wayward. The design has worked in harmony with the countryside and flows naturally between the trees and natural undulations. Most green-to-tee distances are short, making this a popular course to walk.
Cunningly well placed bunkers, two large lakes and four different tee-box positions make Son Quint a most enjoyable course to play and will challenge even experienced golfers.
Son Quint’s modern and spacious clubhouse has extensive terraces beside the club’s own swimming pool. An ideal chance to cool off after your round. The large restaurant offers a great selection of food & drink. Pro shop and reception are adjacent to the well appointed changing rooms.
Do I Need a Buggy?
Son Quint is a gently undulating course that is easily walkable for players of reasonable fitness. Buggies are allowed on the fairways, weather permitting.
